Logos

The logo is the most important element in the graphic identity system for RESAAS. It is the most memorable part of who we are, as it embodies the true essence of our personality. This format of the logo has been specially considered for maximum visibility in all situations, in sizes large and small, including stationery, signage, and the online environment. The size and proportions of the elements must never be altered.

It is critical that comprehensive guidelines be established and followed to ensure that the RESAAS brand is consistently applied. In managing the wide variety of items which comprise the identity –logo, colours, corporate stationery, advertising, various marketing materials – it is important that each piece maintains the identity in a consistent manner that heightens the brand’s impact and appeal. This standards guide is by no means an exhaustive catalogue of every item, specification, and possible future application – the designer will still have to make judgement calls when developing future items. However, the brand personality and overall design sensibility should be instilled in all RESAAS communication efforts.

The primary logo, next, should be used on all items. Special attention should be paid to using the logo in colour, and printing it with the highest possible reproduction methods or fabricating it from the best possible materials, to ensure the high-quality image of the brand.

Full Logos and Favicons

Full logos should be used in all official documentation, PDFs and some emails. Shortened logos can be used in emails and sub-domain logos. Icons can be used for favicons, square display images or other places where space is minimal.

Colour Consistency

The RESAAS logo have been created for use in both print and web applications and may be used on both MAC and PC computers. The logo must not be redrawn or modified in any way. Every element has been drawn with the highest attention to detail to ensure accurate, perfect reproduction from micro to macro sizes, suitable in applications from signage to advertising. The logo may not be reproduced using any other colours than the approved combinations. EPS files have been created for print applications in Adobe Illustrator as vector (outlined) files in various colour formats:

B/W Black-colour-only version of the logo for any single-colour print material (e.g., newspaper, internal forms).

CMYK 4-colour process version of the spot colour logo for use in any full-colour print collateral (e.g., magazines) or signage.

RGB Colour version of the logo for use on screen, e.g., website.

SPOT The spot logo is the preferred version because it offers the truest and cleanest reproduction of the logo colours.

Protective Space and Minimum Size

The simple and consistent application of the RESAAS mark is important. As a general rule, the logo is to be used as a subtle, premium branding device – NOT as large as possible to fit into any given area.

SPACE AROUND

For the logo to appear as a clear piece of branding, there must be an area around it that remains clear of graphics, patterns and other type. With this in mind, a clear space around has been set that no other graphic elements may encroach upon. The “space around” is a minimum height of “R” on all sides. “R”= is the cap height of the graphic. Please remember, this is a minimum; the best course of action is to leave as much white space around the logo as possible.

MINIMUM SIZE

In keeping the logo relatively small, the below minimum size should be observed to ensure accurate and legible reproduction. Never place the logo at less than the minimum size.

Sub Brands

Full logos should be used in all official documentation, PDFs and some emails. Shortened logos can be used in emails and sub-domain logos. Icons can be used for favicons, square display images or other places where space is minimal.
